Rev. Chris Wright

We are thankful for having Rev. Chris Wright coming to Hong Kong Bible Conference 2015. He will be preaching from 1-10, August, every morning session from 9:45-10:50 am (except 2/8 & 9/8 Sundays).
He was born in Belfast and holds a PhD in the field of Old Testament ethics from Cambridge. He was ordained in the Anglican Church of England, has pastored a local parish church.
He taught for five years at Union Biblical Seminary in India, and then returned to serve as academic dean and subsequently principal at All Nations Christian College in London, an international training centre for cross-cultural mission. In 2001 he was appointed to his present role as International Director of the Langham Partnership International, a group of ministries founded by John Stott and committed to leadership development for the church in the Majority World.
Chris has a passion to bring to life the relevance of the Old Testament to Christian ethics and mission. His has authored two commentaries on Deuteronomy and Ezekiel, and over a dozen books including Old Testament Ethics for the People of God, God's People in God's Land, Knowing Jesus Through the Old Testament, The God I Don't Understand ,The Mission of God and the Mission of God's People.
Chris also serves as Chair of the Lausanne Committee's Theological Education Commission and as Chair of the Theological Resource Panel of Tear Fund, UK. He was the keynote speaker at the 8th Chinese Congress on World Evangelization in 2011 as well as the Youth Mission Fair held in Taiwan in 2013. He has been invited to be the Bible expositor for the Hong Kong Bible Conference to be held in August 2015.
Chris and his wife Liz have four adult children and several grandchildren and live in London.
